Amen brother. Our future needs both Talarico and Crockett. If we fail to empower people of integrity and compassion such as these two gems, well, there won't be a future world worth living in. Thanks for carrying the message with another great post.

Hey Bill, Great post as always. I hope all is well with you and yours in this, the first real winter we have had in a while! Good times in the snow.

I did see the clip of Talarico with Stephen Cobert. He was a wild man given that Trump is killing innocent people at a fair clip if you add up all the dead bodies at this point. Including the one's that have died in the gulags.

Wow, a "Christian" that has actually read the New Testament gospels. That is a new approach for Christians apparently. I thought "Christian" had become a Trump cult of hate and White Supremacy to be honest.

Even the priest at my wife's Greek Orthodox Church voted for Trump (twice).

Thanks Mike. Aren't you a “Texan” originally? Do you think Talarico can harvest some votes from “real” Christians?

Being the Enemy of my enemy does not remove vast fuzzy thinking of “good” people.

We once upon a time sort of pretended to be a secular nation.

This character might be President of a local Kiwanis branch, ok. Not the USA.

Jamie Raskin to lead the Democrat Workers Party, not a fuzzy zealot. IMHO

Better logic: https://youtu.be/nm8T-vqtdNk?si=95USf0XDXMHDh0tr

Oh, and by the way, Obama, a two term democrat gave good speeches, but put in the former head of Goldman Sachs to run the Treasury and no one went to jail for 2008 meltdowns.

A slick talker, democrat or republican doesn’t mean ethics, justice or freedom from the Epstein Elite. We need competence in leaders not a theory of “Electability “

Agree. Especially love Raskin and found Obama wanting. He, like Joe, thought you could negotiate with the devils. Thought they could be trusted. His bail out with no jail time for the bungled bundled mortgage crew was unforgivable. The lack of help for the victims...same and shameful. Some people are still under water.

Talarico? I think I like him for a chance to flip Texas for the Senate. In that part of the US you have to thump the Bible. Sad but true. Would I personally prefer Crockett? In a heart beat. Just looking at a chance to reclaim territory.

Obama was worse than just wanting, he was selected by the democratic machine that thought he was electable, but most mandatorily, controllable.

To clean out the corruption there must be an alternative to evil republicans and corporate democrats. See for example https://prospect.org/2026/02/17/epstein-files-email-kathy-ruemmler-elizabeth-warren-class-war/

I had read that piece. We voted for Warren in the primary :) Sooo. Can the Democratic party ever shed its corporate masters and be the workers party?

The problem seems to be that since Citizens United opened the flood gates, it takes BIG money to win. But, then there is Mamdani...

This guy is impressive. There is hope.

"If James Talarico wins the Democratic Primary for U.S. Senate, he will likely win in the general election." Quite right Bill and, as much as I share your respect for Jasmine Crockett, the same cannot be said for her, even against whatever MAGAt the Republicans come up with for the simple and regrettable reason that's she is an attractive, articulate woman of color and too many persuadable Texans who might vote for an attractive, articulate white male Democrat aren't ready to take the step of recognizing that equality is an absolute concept, not one impacted by race, gender, or any other imposed standard. I hope that, if she wins the primary, she'll go on to win the general, but I'd rather see her stay in the House and lead the impeachment team.

Outstanding, Bill. I wholeheartedly agree. A major mistake was made in attempting to censor Colbert; worse even than canceling his show. CBS roundly deserves any criticism they receive for their attack on the First Amendment. Talarico is definitely presidential timber. The Dems will have a good list to choose from in '28 (assuming we still have elections then).
