In one line, Aziz says it all: "We are much stronger together than ever alone." That's the way I feel about democracy and humanity in general. It's not a zero sum game, but it is much easier to destroy than to build, and until people stop looking for "easy," we're going to remain divided.
Excellent Bill, thanks. The path has always been there, what is missing is the willingness to even take the first step. Rabbi Ner-David is quite right and one hopes that her courage and that of her co-workers will win out in the shorter term and achieve the long term goal of peace.
