It's absolutely outrageous. In this fucked up Trump world, having RFK Jr. as a the head of HHS is a travesty. Children and the poor (which will be a lot more people than before) will be the ones to suffer the most. I'm going to be saying fuck a lot in the next four years, I can tell.

Thanks, Bill. You should be proud of your Senator. He’s absolutely right to chastise BK for besmirching the legacy of Boston and Massachusetts. I suspect the brain worms starved to death.

Don’t forget that this is trump’s MO - flood the zone with shit, and distract from serious stuff while some of the shit gets through to cause the next distraction. The chaos we saw in trump 1.0 was just a warm-up.

I did appreciate it.

But I don't like the darkness of all this. As Senator Markey said we should talking about ways to help people with health care. Instead this bone head wants to risk their lives. How can this be happening in the 21st Century?

One thing I thought of re: his remarks to Lawrence is the notion that keeping disease out of the general population also keeps it out of the wealthy population. What a concept: “Help yourself by helping others!”

Thanks, Bill. I was born in March 1933, but I never had a birthday party until I was an adult. Not because my parents were mean or cruel, my two younger brothers always had a birthday party. No, it was because of peculiar gifts I always received right around my birthday the 4th. I caught chicken pox, German measles, measles. mumps, whooping cough. And I never had a 'mild' case of anything. Where other children were sick from 5 to 10 days - the disease would say with me for 21 days. The only vaccine available in my childhood was small pox. In 1940 I received the sall pox vaccine in my left thigh. They gave it to girls there so the scar wouldn't be an embarrassment in a bathing suit. Sure enough I had that scar well into my 50's.

Needless to say, when my children were born they got their dpt shots starting at 6 months old. Also, I remember reading the headlines in the Toronto Star every day in the summer telling how many hundreds of children died the day before from polio.

Thanks, Bill. Only an ignoramus could deny childhood vaccines. I was born in March of 1933. I never had a birthday party as a child, not because my parents were mean, my brothers always had birthday parties, but because to the peculiar gifts I received - chicken pox. whooping cough (pertussin) measles, German ,measles, mumps. and when it wasn't a 'childhood disease' I got a severe sinus infection, flu, impetago, and so on.

When I had children of my own they got their DPT shots starting at months old and every new vaccine as it became available. I would never put a child of mine through the childhood disease ritual that I encountered.

Polio vaccines didn't become available until
