An interesting scenario, Bill. Let's hope it plays out somehow. I think you nailed Fetterman - what a disappointment he's become.

I am concerned that pmurT would destroy the country rather than give up, and if he's somehow removed, Vance would become drunk with power and not alter the MAGAt course. Still, an interesting thought exercise!

Bill, I LOVE it. Let's make the documentary

Totally believable per Fetterman - having contributed throughout his champaign, I take his lying treachery personally.

I don't think Trump will ever leave office unless through one of the exit tunnels from the WH on a covered gurney. Or, in the case of a truly inflamed push against him, he'll probably scorch the country in his wake before heading to Hungary.

Afterwards, in either scenario, IF the Democrats have the intestinal fortitude to hold republicans accountable for violating the Constitution, the GOP will squeal they had 'no choice' supporting him and the lists of threats will be endless.

Bill,

Great writing and a wonderful wish list of outcomes.

Unfortunately, Republicans in Congress will never get off their knees, at Trump's feet, long enough to think of anything but being the cowardly men that they are.

I find it interesting that our current state is the end stage of John Adams hopeful experiment with his Massachusetts Constitution (the very first tripartite, representative government on earth). Adams had studied all forms of government, written a book on his work and then generated the MA constitution. One of the true giants of history.

But, Adams could never have imagined that it would all devolve into 10 Billionaires running the country through their low life patsy who abuses 13 year old girls for fun. That is what happens when the Supreme Court decides that corporations (owned by billionaires) are "citizens".

Adams was also a Christian and he would, of course, not recognize Christianity today. Mean, hateful and greedy.

Well said Mike S. But as a glass half full person, I think we shouldn't underestimate the Lame Duck effect. As any president begins the last couple of years in office, they are weakened.

And many politicians are like hyenas - ready to pounce.

Combine that with the Trump Files and now...what HCR described - the Wyden probe of JP Morgan, all the kings men may be able to put Humpty back together again.

I just need an optimistic day in the face of today's war bullshit.

I wonder if the US will bomb drone factories in Iran. The drones sent to Russia. Or did Vlad tell his puppet they were off limits?

Bill,

Thank you as always for your thoughtful commentary.

I have never thought of Trump as the fundamental root cause of what we have now. Rather, roughly half of Americans are welded to hate.

Hate of "Dems".

Hate of "Browns".

Hate of those "dam* Meskins"

Hate, hate, hate.

Fox News and AM radio live on hate today. Rush Limbaugh showed the way to all.

Throw out some raw hate meat and watch the Americans rush in to gobble it up.

The root cause of all that we see is the roughly HALF of Americans who love to hate more than love their family, more than they love their dogs, more they they love their kids.

Indeed, if you don't join them in the hate, they cut you off and hate on you too.

The problem is not Trump.

The problem is US. Amurcans.

In 1969, I attended a speech at Western Washington State College, and the speaker said, “When the Vietnam War ends...and it will end....

I don't remember anything else he said. It was a shock to hear those words. At 19, I did not have the perspective to imagine such a thing.

Another well written not quite fantastic fantasy. Like most of us, I see Fetterman ending up GOP, if not wholly MAGAT. As to the rest, this will pass, and your scenario is as likely as any. We'll see, and the chances grow daily.
