My gut has been talking to me, telling me Trump is toast! The thing that worries me is the reaction of the MAGA stalwarts when they see their boy Donny the Loser go down in disgrace…

I read a lot about the Civil War of the 19th Century and its aftermath. The North won. But the bigotry and hate for "others" never ended. For some it was enhanced by the bitterness of loss. Those beliefs and epigenetics are what propel the MAGA Nazis now.

Harris and Walz winning will be just

another step forward in the same old fight. Not a total victory. Just another

achievement on long road to real equality.

It's a valid concern, and one that our federal government and local authorities must be prepared to deal with as expeditiously as possible. That said, my guess and gut feeling is that like most bullies they'll crawl back under their rocks and look for another opportunity later. One position of great interest in the Harris administration will be Attorney General; we can't afford another Merrick Garland, and I no longer consider him a good candidate for the Supreme Court.

An obvious choice to replace Molasses Garland would be Jack Smith. But another option would our Governor Maura Healey. She was our AG prior to that. She is a powerful presence in the state. And her focus as AG was spot on. See her Wiki: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maura_Healey

Healey would be good. I'm not sure Smith could take the job without messing up the ongoing prosecutions.

I’m thinking Garland would make a great dog catcher!

If he was, there would be an awful lot of loose dogs running around.

Jack and I were so pumped after that debate and listening to Harris speak in coherent sentences from the heart and from a place of knowledge gives us hope . She is brilliant and she is a person of integrity we so need desperately in the White House

Trump knows he has nothing to respond with when someone project competence and certainty. He's scared.

She has the energy and demeanor to sustain this momentum through the election- and to pull a few Democrats along with her down ballot. Let’s do our part with an easy $25 every couple weeks thru November! And I am a fan of the Guardian as well!!!

I've been reading the Guardian for a couple of years and don't miss either the NYT or the WaPo. Nice piece today Bill. Tough questions usually accompany substantial opportunities.

Thanks for the YouTube. We are NOT GOING BACK! I'm enjoying this pleasure cruise right now, but will take my lumps when Mean Bill comes back.

As much as I despise *Rump, it scares the bejeezuz out of me to consider what his fans would do if he were killed by an assassin. I hope he just keels over soon as a result of his poor diet and lifestyle.

After he loses the election, is found guilty in Atlanta, Ft. Pierce and Washington, D.C. and has plenty of time to marinate in his misery.
