Also, imagining I am the President makes me never want to be the President.

There are two reasons to want the job. One is that you really think you could govern so well as to make a difference for your nation. The other is that your ego is so large that you just love the attention - hoping for the job regardless of your incompetence. The former sounds like 46 and the latter would be 45.

I can't argue that. I think Biden has an ego but I don't think it runs the entire show most of the time.

I wonder how it will all turn out. I have my escape plans prepared but hope to stand and fight rather than run.

You get it! What is happening right now in our society is our democracy is dying by a thousand cuts to compassion/justice every day.

It seems we can’t discern good from evil any more. 💔

When “malignant narcissism” is held up as the “choice”...and the seeds of hate & destruction

are all we hear (and continue to hear) from a man who got elected in 2016 on fear, disinformation, hate & division . After four years ...when Trump was voted “out” in 2020 it gave me hope; democracy wants to thrive not die ...but now the right touts “stop the steal” and my hope is waning.

Friends and family are tired of the pandemic ...they’re tired of the politics and they’re tired of hearing me warn of impending doom.

We already are living our escape plan ...on an island..in the middle of the Pacific where democracy, unity and kindness still hold purchase in the spirit of “Aloha”.

I wish you all the best on your island. Keep sounding the alarm bells. I am flying tomorrow to bury my father who died of disinformation and the fallout of conservatism which is just a label for selfish self-inflicted blindness and ignorance. He's one among many.

My heart goes out to you. How heart wrenching to know; the person you loved has died, needlessly, before their time , all because of misinformation, greed and narcissism.

Safe travels. May memories of happier times help to heal your heart as you say your final “goodbyes” at your dad’s gravesite 💔

Namaste

Thank you, Cathy. The hardest part is dealing with the cultists who are still alive and still in denial. In this case my sister and my mother. Neither are vaccinated and both almost died of the same thing that killed my father. Collective delusions are still delusions and all the more dangerous because they are shared.
