Some people have pointed out to me that many low-income Americans are flat busted at the end of each month. They could participate more noticeably if the event happened on say, the first Monday of each month.

Excellent idea. Send it to the People's Union.

I also think the traitors have the weather on their side. Where we are now, the cold is bone chilling. There were protesters from various organizations on Boston Common. It would certainly have been bigger in milder weather.

BTW, your Substack letters are excellent. Very fact filled and helpful.

One of the full benefits of living in Los Angeles are the numerous opportunities to spend more money at mom and pop establishments versus chain. I also believe my wife and I are one of the last people to not have an Amazon Prime account…those sports events I miss at home are enjoyed at my local mom and pop bar.

It’s a tough sell in a society addicted to consumerism…

Thanks for the other coast perspective.

Yes. We are addicted to the convenience of everything now when we want it. This could be the key to our collapse.

But for now...food!

Well done Bill, thanks. Bernie may be old, but he still gets it done.

Thanks, Bill. The Economic Blackout is a fantastic idea. Making it last progressively more days spaced out of each month could be even more effective without overly inconveniencing people while still making the impact felt. So the last day of the month for February, then March 15 and 31, then April 10, 20, 30...

We could keep going until the midterms when, in my deepest hope, Dems, win, and Trump and the company can then get impeached and convicted. That's 22 months away. That means Blackout for 22 days in November 2026, so we still have 8 days left in which to do our Christmas shopping. ;-)

What an incredible, easy way to protest that can be accessible to EVERYONE.

Large scale protests like this that can't be ignored are going to be essential. I already don't support Amazon, WalMart or most of the big box stores...so this one is easy for me. Keep on keeping on Bill
