What follows is an elaboration from Senator Murphy. He is a realist about the incoming administration. And he has THE message for Democrats. We need to regroup. That doesn’t mean abandoning any of our values or our commitment to social justice. It just means that we need to rebuild the party based on…..
ECONOMIC JUSTICE.

Bill, I can't thank you enough for this great post. I totally agree with Senator Murphy, We need to be what we were since 1933 the party of the people. I don't care how many lies DJT tells, the Republicans are and have been since Cooledge and Hoover the party the party of, by, and for great wealth.
We need to put out, in simple and understandable words, that since Ronald Reagan (and we don't have to curse him as I usually do) the wealth of this Country was redistributed (shifted) from a very healthy middle class to the very, slim tip top of the wealthiest.
If that wasn't socialism or communism then, why should redistributing that same wealth back to the majority of the people in this Country, be socialism now. They had their chance - that wealth did NOT trickle down it GUSHED up.
Back in the days following WW2 we still had a wealthy class, the largest middle class the world has ever known and a relatively poor class. That is what statisticians called a 'bell curve'
True it wasn't fair. Persons of color, or different language, or any difference at all never received a fair shake. But that is fixable.
What isn't fixable is a fascist dictatorship which prolongs the inequality of wealth distribution to the top. Most people in this Country do not want to take ALL the wealth from the top 0.1% We just want a fair distribution and an even fairer education for every single child in America so we all have the opportunity to be the best that we can be.
Bill thanks for sharing this. It's a very intelligent, thoughtful interview all the way around and needs to be viewed broadly.
