For another review from another fine leader who believes in the Rule of Law applying to ALL of us...Adam Schiff's two minute response to the Great Diatribe of Diarrhea last night:

George Orwell was right. The world has turned upside down: cruelty is kindness, white is black, up is down, lies are truth.

It has happened as predicted. I fear that only enormous suffering and pain will turn the tide.

Bill, I have seen the Republican sycophant "on their knees" behavior for all of my corporate engineering career. It is a subset of white/British culture. Everyone crawls at the feet of the boss.

We saw it at the State of the Union. Every Republican groveling as low to the ground as they could get.

Trump is the big dog and all the little dogs in Congress are rolled onto their backs wimpering (to coin a new word). Wimps whimper. So wimpering is the combined behavior.

All part of white culture descended from British culture where a King maintained the beyond horrible Tower of London.

Agreed, Mike. Some traditions must be built into our DNA. But this is epigenetics on steroids.

What will always astound me is this. Regardless of the obscene policies outlined and the political positions taken by the "$President"...why are Republicans attracted to such an awful personality. $Trump is obnoxious and completely self centered. He is a bloviator. What kind of human being can applaud such a flaming asshole? And I am using polite words.

Presidents are supposed to unite ALL of us. This one carves us up into raw meat to be fed to people hungry for hate. This guy is the one nobody wants to show up at a dinner party. This is exactly the type of person Jesus would cast out.

Again, set aside (very briefly) policy differences (which are enormous). When I hear someone speak like $Trump does, I hear a lying bully. I hear a completely self absorbed self aggrandizing asswipe. Why do Republicans like asswipes?

"When I hear someone speak like $Trump does, I hear a lying bully."

Which is what all Corporate leaders apparently are. Now, we have turned the USA government into a Corporate entity.

Apology for delayed response.

Sen. Slotkin was good, reasonable, and made her points well. One hopes, without much evidentiary basis, that the "principled leaders" of the Democratic party have their running shoes on and are ready to take effective action.
