I remember when this happened. I'm horrified that she had been shot at, but embarrassed to admit that whomever I was with when watching the awards that year has an 'eye roll reaction to Brando's response to the award.
I'm cheering him on now, 'better late than never' as you say, and so touched by the sweetness, innocence, and vulnerability of Miss Littlefeather.
And again I am ashamed of the sins of my fathers.... we must never forget.
