I couldn't agree more, Bill: MAGA is all about hate, revenge, and cruelty. It's about racism and xenophobia. How so-called Christians can support these policies... I will never understand.
Yes, but this is only part of the story. Each generation of children are taught by parents, either directly or by neglect, to hate. Violence sells products in a capitalist culture. Neglect by democrats that favor corporations over progressive new leaders, in our broken two-party system, must be recognized.
Each of us is responsible for the the mess of this country.
Another song from the post-war period; You’ve Got to be Taught, from the production South Pacific. Read about the controversy of that song in Wikipedia. It was purposely left off the soundtrack record.
So many people have shown better ways but corporate media has been allowed to consolidate into evermore evil. That too was allowed by democrats.
"Neglect by democrats that favor corporations over progressive new leaders". Yes. Indeed. Clinton led the way to Democrats being "Republican lite".
Isn't it interesting how normal and reasonable Bernie and AOC sound right now. The Democrat who is also getting my attention now is Senator Chris Murphy who advocates for economic fairness. As Bernie has said, 3 men own as much wealth as the bottom 50% of Americans. This can't stand.
Time for a grass roots campaign that eschews corporate money. Time for a campaign to redistribute wealth. Drop the Social Security cap. Tax the rich and corporations properly!
We moved to WI from IL 10 years ago. On the surface, Wisconsin 'nice' seems prevalent, UNTIL it's apparent you don't think like them or there's a defining difference in your beliefs. I've found MAGA to be world class gossips, their hate of the 'other' reinforced in echo chambers of a huge number of churches, bars/taverns and huddles in stores. They cling to their ideas like life itself, even in the face of it's being an obvious lie.
I've had some bitter experiences, and to think I moved here with a good outlook...
Bill, as always you speak truth and really tell it like it is.

Wow, Bill! Powerful!

Well done Bill, thanks. There is an excellent portrayal of Woody along with that of Pete Seeger in A Complete Unknown if you haven't already seen it.
Looking forward to seeing it!
It's a great movie.
